Jazz Piano Fri 12 - Sun 14 June 2026 - For pianists with previous jazz experience.
Blues Piano Basics Mon 3 - Wed 5 August 2026 - No previous blues experience necessary.
Short Course for Piano Teachers - NO FURTHER DATES PLANNED
Tim’s annual course for piano teachers was hosted from 1998 by Morley College and the City Lit and until 2025 online by Benslow Music. It de-mystified the mechanics of playing jazz, in a style that enabled it to be passed from teacher to pupil. The syllabus (Grades 1-5) was examined in detail, with insight into the skills required for candidates and how to teach them. Help was given with interpretation, improvisation, and the basics of jazz theory and harmony. No previous experience of jazz was required.
